There is a remarkable story about Ray Sherriffe and RSM John lord. Both were captured at Arnhem but seperately. RSM John Lord came across Ray Sheriiffe in a railway carriage. Ray was blinded and amongst strangers. RSM Lord came across him and called to him. Ray stood up and came to attention. What discipline! What a relief too for him to be back in the command of his RSM.
