    CHINDITS 1943 Blain, Robert Strachan

    Robert Blain from Luss on the banks of Loch Lomond, enlisted in the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders and was evacuated from Dunkirk. The front and rear cover of the Victor comic of 25th October 1980 tells a further exploit of Blain's with The Chindits when he was a Major.

    Hi Louise, You're welcome. Other than the Military Medal, your grandfather would certainly have been entitled to a 1939/45 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star and WW2 War Medal. He would possibly have been also entitled to an Africa Star and Defence Medal. If you have your grandfathers...
