CITATION:

Military Medal : At LEROS during the assault in November 1943 Sgm. BREMMER was W/T Operator to a patrol of this Unit holding a position at Mount CLIDI. He remained on his set continuously passing messages each day from 0400 to 1700 hrs despite extremely heavy attacks by ground and air forces, and continued to so do until his set was destroyed as the enemy entered the gun position where he was located. Sgm. Bremner was wounded but escaped through a window to rejoin his patrol. He continued to fight and showed great courage in later assisting a wounded comrade to withdraw under heavy fire from enemy machine guns. Through the battle he showed very great coolness and complete disregard for danger.
