CITATION:

Military Medal : Pte. Brown has been responsible for the maintenance of the vehicles in his patrol since its inception in July 1940, since when the trucks under his care have travelled 40,000 miles, mainly behind the enemy lines. His application and skill has contributed largely to the successful operation of his patrol. In reconnaissance and raids on enemy convoys, he has at all times shown coolness and exemplary devotion to duty. On one occasion a few miles to the north of MICHILI, when one of his trucks was damaged, he repaired it under fire, thereby enabling his comrades to escape with their truck and equipment.
