The middle photograph is of Tom Caton, Geoff’s father and my grandfather. Tom was in the Coldstream Guards in WW1, the cap badge in the photograph being that regiment’s; Geoff’s regiment prior to joining 11 Commando and then SAS1 was the Royal Artillery. Tom’s uniform in the photograph looks distinctly WW1 vintage, as well.</p></blockquote><p></p>
