My Uncle William Fred Pinnix is evidently listed as KIA on 7 June 1944. I am trying to obtain information as to the details, nature and geographical location of his death. He is listed as a member of the service company 507th P.I.R. He is buried at Oak Grove cemetery in Yadkin County, NC. I would greatly appreciate any information anyone has or could suggest to assist me in detailing his involvement, death and subsequent internment from Normandy back to the US.
