  I knew Joe, as a neighbour in Muskoka. Am still friends with his family. A harder tuff man hard to find. Joe would sometimes be looking at you and his grey eyes turned to granite. It actually made my blood run cold. The ten thousand mile stare. But also a kind and gentle soul. Shot in France...

  SBS Personnel at Disbandment

  Thank you for sharing. My great uncle Bill Marshall is on this list. His brother, (my grandfather) Des’ memoirs were published in September 2025.
  Des created a handwritten list of those he served with in L Squadron SBS and quite a few names are also on that list.
