I have never been in the armed forces but I have been to this grave site, once with my son and once with my father. My father was in both 2 and 1 SAS. He formed part of the burial party for these men when they were buried at Mousey. Charlie Radford I understand was another member of the burial party. My wife purchased a book called Charlie Radford SAS Trooper. In it he describes how the funeral was condicted. SQMS J Alcock, as an ex- Coldstream Guard, was responsible for instructing the guard of honour for the burial party in how to conduct themselves. he describes how they had to learn to slow march and shoot a salute as one man. After visiting the Operation Pistol area with my father J Alcock we drove south to Mousey which was within the Operation Loyton area.
