Ernest Evison (with hat)

On the photo my father Ernest Fines Evison is the man with the troop hat standing next to the tent.

He was born 1918 in Wimbledon and died 1979 in Norway.
Army records:
East Surrey, no 6144616, Sergeant.
1940 - France - Belgium, two months.
September 1941 - Posted overseas to West Africa with the Maid Honor Force, ( Operation Postmaster ) and then the South Atlantic on a submarine?
May 1942 to July 1943, posted to station no 62 as a cook, ( Small Scale Raiding Force, at Anderson Manor, Dorset. )
1943 to 1946 - station ME 65 and 53A.
He left the army in January 1946.
After the war he worked for the British India Steam Navigation company in Bombay.
