My father, Percy Ralph Simon, could you enter hid DOB 17 Sep. 1886? Much older than most of his brother officers in WWII, died youngish at age 59, it was decided this was a direct result of innapropriate medical treatment when in active service in Italy towards the end of the war. During 1938/39 he had pestered the Admiralty to take him back on the active list. Eventually they agreed. But during that bitter campaign military doctors were ill equipped to deal with elderly cancer cases
