James Albert Warcup

Hi,
James Albert Warcup is my distant relative and it is really nice to see him honoured on your site. Just to bring you up to date on something’s. James was born in Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire and not Duffield. He then returned to Bridlington after the war and in 1967 moved to a small village just outside Driffield called Garton on the Wolds. He opened his own butchers shop. His widow Dorothy still lives in the village to this day. He is commemorated in the village church yard by a small plaque. His medals were recently donated to the Imperial war Museum in Duxford. I do have a few pictures which were in recent newspaper articles and one of his plaque.
Regards
Kevin Warcup
