CITATION:

Member of the Order of the British Empire : Captain ADAMS has been Signal Officer of 'H' Sqn, CHQ Liason Regt, for more that two years. During this period he has worked with the greatest possible enthusiasm under a great variety of circumstances. The success achieved by the Sqn whilst employed in the Summer campaign of 1944 in Italy, as elsewhere on previous occasions has been largely due to Capt. Adams' untiring efforts.

Capt Adams has tackled many complicated signal problems over extreme distances, including those presented in Combined Operations in the assault on Sicily, with conspicuous success. Capt. Adams has trained the wireless operators under his command to a high degree of efficiency and his close attention to detail has no doubt prevented many breakdowns in communications which might otherwise have occurred.

Although primarily responsible for the technical efficiency of his unit, Capt Adams always displayed the keenest interest in operations and whenever the Sqn was shorthanded he always volunteered to take his share of other duties. By his example of personal efficiency, ----ness and energy, he has inspired those under his command to achieve the continuous flow of information to the C-in-C's War Room throughout the Italian campaign.
