Ralf Athelsie Pole Allsebrook

On the 19th April 1941 whilst flying a Handley Page Hampden Mk 1 P1248 He was part of No 25 Operational Training Unit at RAF Finningley, 7 Group, Bomber Command. he was flying over Concord Park, Shiregreen, Sheffield, when he flew into restricted area which was occupied by barrage balloons. He flew into a tethering cable which killed the observer Pilot Officer Jeffery Bohun Ranson. Pilot Officer Allsebrook parachuted to safety that day
