Hi there. I am trying to learn all I can about my grandfather, Andrew James Hughes' time in the Royal Marines. Any information you can supply would be greatly received. We know that he was Major Sankey's driver throughout the war and that he saw action in France, Germany, Burmah and possibly Italy too.
His best friend, (also 45 RM) was Jimmy Swales and I have, what I believe to be a picture of him, so if any of the family would like a copy, I'd be happy to supply it if they contact me.
