CITATION:

George Cross : Sub-Lieutenant Bridge had been in charge of various bomb disposal parties in Cornwall. On September 7th he carried out the demolition of a very dangerous bomb knowing that it had a delayed action fuse and might detonate at any moment. Later he made safe a similar bomb, though well aware of the risks he encountered.
