Geoff Caton is my uncle. The middle photograph is of Tom Caton, Geoff’s father and my grandfather. Tom was in the Coldstream Guards in WW1, the cap badge in the photograph being that regiment’s; Geoff’s regiment prior to joining 11 Commando and then SAS1 was the Royal Artillery. Tom’s uniform in the photograph looks distinctly WW1 vintage, as well.
