CITATION:
Military Cross : Whilst operating for long periods with very little rest in extremely difficult country, Lieutenant Griffiths has show the very highest standards of leadership and devotion to duty.
His cheerfulness, and example, under the most trying conditions which obtain in the very remote, mountainous area in which he has been operating, have been a constant inspiration to the men under his command.
The skill and courage with which he has conducted all his operations has had a marked influence on the course of events in his area.
In all ways and at all times his leadership has been quite outstanding.
