CITATION:

British Empire Medal : Sgt HONEYSETT arrived in the unit in June 1950, when the MT were working at exceptional pressure, and in very difficult conditions. By his own continued hard work, and his unfailing cheerfulness and splendid leadership he inspired all the MT department with his own enthusiasm. As a result the unit MT received an exceptionally good report. It has been reported both by the inspecting officer and by the officer himself under whom Sgt HONEYSETT worked, that the excellent state of the transport was largely due to his efforts. Sgt HONEYSETT has not only distinguished himself at his usual duties with the motor transport, but has on three occasions lead patrols which have contacted bandits. On one occasion he led a bayonet charge on a small party lying up in lallang. Though the bandits got away, this incident shows the dash and zeal that Sgt HONEYSETT puts into all his work.
