OSS interested in learning about my father James M Eichelberger

Dear group

I would be most grateful for any information on my father James M Eichelberger, a Capt in Military Intelligence who recieved a French Reconnaissance Medal in Feb 1946. I am very intersted in learning more about the OSS in France, the French Resistance movement and what type of action my father may have been involved in to earn this medal. Were many such medals awarded? Is there any way I can learn more about what my father did during the war? His military records were destroyed in the St Louis fire where many miliatry records were lost

After the war my father went on to work for the CIA in Egypt, Beirut and the Congo. Any related information is much appreciated

Thanks

Yes, I am on the OSS list serve. Do you think anyone on Special Forces Roll of Honor is familiar with OSS actions to support French Resistance. I am especially interested in linking up with people that could imagine the types of things my father could have done to have been awarded French Reconnaisance Medal
Thanks for your help and interest
