Air Medal : For meritorious achievement while participating in more than one hundred hours of aerial fight over territory in Burma where exposure to enemy fire was probable and expected. Flying unarmed cargo aircraft in adverse weather and over mountainous and jungle terrain, this pilot and crew members brought personnel, supplies, ammunition and heavy equipment to the forward areas. His devotion to duty and degree of efficiency reflect great credit upon himself and on the Army Air Forces of the United States.
