Dear Sir i'm looking for information regarding my Grandfather Lawrence Hill, he was to my knowledge in the s.o.e during the war and was i'm told the first british office into Bergen belson, ultimately handcuffed to joseph Kramer aswell he apparently escorted him on his way to nurenberg, these are my first tentative steps into his military history and any help would be greatly appreciated.
He was highly decorated, military o.b.e, orange order of nassau, etc and i believe he was at Arisaig for sometime. My father who has just recently passed away tried with the m.od some years ago now to get his records but was told they wouldn't be available until a 50 year period had passed is this normal or correct? many thanks in advance any info would be greatfully recieved, yours sincerely, Andrew Hill
