Greetings Melvin has passed away from stage 4 lung cancer. I knew him to be a decent man. I first knew him through a book I read read back 90-91 called "Kiss the Boys Goodbye" Never did I dream I would meet him in person and that I would later take him to the airport in Inchoen Korea for his first time trip home in ehhh 27 years. My First born and grand kids picked him up at DFW with welcome home signs and American flags waving giving him a home coming he never got coming back from the Vietnam conflict. My good buddy Randy took it from there and got him to his place to live in Texas. Vickie and I stopped in to see him a few summers ago. He was vibrant and well alive with a great sense of humor. She thought the world of him from the word go. We, all of us were and are honored to have been part of his life. Fuck cancer
