Francis Byron Mills was a full Colonel when he retired.

He wrote a book called OSS Special Operations In China.

He won two Legions of Merit: For his work in China during WWII and for his work as Assistant Commandant at the Special Warfare School at Ft. Bragg, 1961-3.

He was CIA Station Chief in Hawaii 1952-3.

He lived in the Mantua area of Fairfax County. Check spelling.
