Jack Turner Nicholson was also awarded the Territorial Efficiency Decoration in November 1959 and a Bar in November 1965.

He died 10th April 1997 and is buried in Peebles.
 
Nicholson served on Crete in 1941 with 7 Commando and won the Military Medal there during Operation Albumen in July 1943.
