Harold was my father. I had no idea he was with Merrill's Marauders. I don't have much information about him because he and my mother divorced when I was very young.

Geneva was dad's first wife. Their daughter, Ruth Ann, was raised by my mother (Madeline) after he left us. I believe he had two daughters when he married Beverly. He drove truck for Matlock for a number of years. As far as I know Maxine was his last wife and I don't know of any children he had with her. Ruth Ann died May 4, 1974, of liver cancer. I spoke with him a few times during Ruth Ann's illness as I was caring for her. I was told he was wounded in the war and had a metal plate in his head. Maybe that was why he had such a difficult life.

Thanks for that i have updated the order.

From the U.S., World War II Hospital Admission Card Files, 1942-1954 i can only see that he was hospitalized twice with Malaria (June+August 1944). Nothing else noted. Hope this helps.
