E. was tried before General Court Martial under article of war 93, with manslaughter, involuntary result of culpable negligence, in killing Pte POLLENDER in shooting him in the chest with a pistol 45 calibre. Was found guilty and sentenced to be discharged from the US Army, to forfeit all pay due or to become due and be confirmed at hard labour for a period not to exceed 3 years.
