anyone who has any actual documents concerning the sas in world war two, I am looking to accumulate as much as I can to analyse. If anyone is happy to share copies I would be eternally grateful. please send to me at cheekyphil666@hotmail.com. I am looking into my grandfathers time in the sas, also the other spaniards and the way in which the sas was formed, operated, political issues, and the other people involved. Also if I can build up a library then I can email the items back out on request to people doing research in future.

Are you after actual physical documents or copied files- I have a few files copied from TNA that are just about okay!

Let me know if you want them emailed. However I am only on here infrequently so maybe a while in answering.

Regards

Andy

well the sas has alot of myth tide up in its history. I am trying to get past that to the reality of its creation and beginings. such as looking at dudley wrangel clarkes hand in its beginings. or The reasons why a subaltern with no combat or military experiance was handed command of an experimental unit. The sas seems to be untouched as far as critical analysis goes, apart from the works of tim jones and alistair mackenzie it seems that mostly it is narrative history
