It is my sad duty to inform you all of the death tonight (Friday 30th December 2011)of Tommy Cummings former B Sqn 1 SAS who died just before 6 pm UK time. Tommy was 91 and had a good life, married to Edna,they had been together since he was 16 and she 14. sadly Edna died a couple of years ago. I visited him on a regular basis almost every week.He missed her dearly and now they are both together again.
Tommy was on Operation Bulbasket and one of the lucky few who were extracted back to the UK.A former Royal Scot and also selected for special duties as a member of a 12 man Scout Section who trained Auxiliary Units in Angus Scotland.
TC, you will be missed by a select few, always remembered and dearly loved.....rest easy my friend, your jobs done.....
