I have a question about the rangers honor page. My grandfather was a ranger wwii and not listed came home with medals and has since pasted years ago military funeral trying to find any info on him but cant find much more then ranger 1st bn.and a No. Name was Leroy J. McClain any one know were to get all military records of him would be great.

have you tried old unit associations?
also a book on its history is always a good place of reference to narrow down where it served. also if you get in touch with veterans affairs they may give you an idea of where to start
