This Lt. ordered a group of young GI's just out of training to take a position that was going to get most of them killed. My brother who had been in several battles told him that this was not wise but they should do it another way. There was a conflict between them and my brother broke the Lt. jaw. He said that he was not going to send those young men who had not seen battle to their death. They broke him to Cpl. About a week after this my brother was at a bar, laundry having a drink while waiting for his clothes. Two south Vietnam soldier were also there. My brother ask a girl to dance. While he was dancing the two Vietnam soldier stood up and shot him in the chest. His buddy was with him and rushed him to the hospital, but it was too late. Imformation from sources thought that the Lt. might have hired these two men to kill him, but there was not enough evidence to do anything. They never did find the two men so nothing was done.
