Looking for any information/photos etc of Patrick Allen who served with 1 SAS and was killed Dec 1942 in Libya
My great uncle served with 1 SAS at that time. His name was Charlie Cattell. I am in the process of sorting, scanning and uploading some of his photographs to my family tree. I do have a photo of him with some of the other lads, who he named on the back of the picture. However, none of these are "Patrick" - was he known as something else, a nickname perhaps? Also, the picture is not dated. If you'd like to see the pic then I'd be happy to forward you a copy. Let me know.

Hi, yes that would be great, was known as "Paddy" and was with A squadron,1 SAS. He was apparently one of the cooks, got killed whilst out on a raid in early Dec 1942....

if you get in touch with the sas association they will check their records to see if his name comes up and send you the stuff they find. you have to have his service record which you can get from the glasgow records office after applying for it. cost you ?30 if you are not his spouse....doubt your his spouse. then you send it to the sas association
