He was such an amazing guy fond memories he lost his battle with pancreatic cancer and never complained once. Former Falklands veteran and sadly missed. Never spoke much about his career and exploits he was very quiet about that.
A lot of his group have long since gone as well there is a good picture in the book ghost force and I remember him pointing out how many were still left with us and it wasn't many.
 
I also knew Chippy well in the 80s.He got me a job on camp and actually rented a house off him for a few years. Very quiet and unassuming, almost henpecked but apparently totally different at work.
