David's home was named Cheamside in Cobble Hill on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
David was with a group of approximately 15 men, commanded by Col. Becket, including D. Serrick, who were to parachute behind German lines at Anzio.The first flight was turned back because of " Ack Ack", the second because of fog. David was wounded 4 June.
