Bronzen Kruis : He has distinguished himself against the enemy by courageous and tactful conduct by having landed by parachute in Drenthe behind enemy lines in the night of April 7th and 8th, having participated in the ensuing fighting in a fearless manner during which he was killed. By this conduct he has contributed to the liberation of the Netherlands and in doing so has served the interests of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
