This is my Uncle Jack. My mum was his sister Wyn and his other sister was my Aunty Eileen. I never got to meet him but would love to hear from anyone who knew him. I always remember my gran (his mum) not knowing where he is buried. I am so pleased to have found this record. Everything matches with the letter sent to our family in 1945 from the War Office saying he was killed in action. He was stationed in Wiltshire for most of the war, but wanted to see action so went to Burma. He died just 6 months before the war ended. He was my grandparents only son. I believe he was an amateur boxing champ.
