I believe that his TV programmes are mostly fake and to be quite honest I find that I can't watch him without cringing.

There is a pic of him on this site in combat kit wearing the beret and dagger. Surely not even he imagines that he can get away with that. Are you sure he didn't pass selection?

well it doesnt matter really, part time or full time, they are all equal in the eyes of their opposition. My grandads wings ( 2nd SAS) are on my wall and he only joined because he didn't like taking orders and you got hazard pay.
