Bryan Christopher Beiriger

Master Chief Bryan Christopher Beiriger was born June 27, 1969 in Hastings, NE to Steve and Sheryl Beiriger. he grew up outside of Houston in Spring, Texas. In August 1988, he enlisted in the United States Navy and in March 1990, Master Chief Beiriger graduated with Class 165 from Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL Training.

After graduation, he received orders to SEAL Team Three, where he made three platoon deployments at the start of his career. In 1997 he was assigned to the Naval Special Warfare Center as an Air Operations Instructor. From 2000 to 2001, he returned to SEAL Team Three, where he was the leading petty officer for Hotel Platoon. As a Plank Owner of SEAL Team Seven, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) as leading chief petty officer of Foxtrot Platoon. He then took orders to Millington, TN, as the SEAL West Coast detailer for sailors at ranks of E-6 and below. In 2007, he returned to Coronado and SEAL Team Seven, where he completed a successful deployment in support of OIF as 2 Troop Senior Enlisted Advisor. In 2009, he was assigned as the operations master chief for NSW Training Detachment One, where he was responsible for pre-deployment and unit-level training operations for all West Coast SEAL Teams. In 2011, the Beiriger family moved to Chicago and Master Chief was the officer in charge of the NSW Preparatory School in Great Lakes. After completion of his duties, he returned to SEAL Team One as command master chief (CMC) where he initially deployed in support of Central Command's Crisis Response Element and ultimately led the first NSW Forces in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Master Chief Beiriger was most recently the CMC of Training Detachment One.

Master Chief Beiriger is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and was pursuing a bachelor's degree in business and organizational leadership from the University of Charleston. His personal decorations include the Bronze Star (two awards, including one with Valor), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards), Combat Action Ribbon, Expert Rifleman Medal, Expert Pistol Medal, and numerous unit and campaign awards.
Bryan enjoyed early morning paddle boarding and golf where he felt closest to God. Favorite family moments were beating others in Monopoly, watching Seinfeld with Donna because he loved to see her laugh and playing with his cat, Zoe. Andrew and Steven made him laugh out loud with their quick wit which matched his own. His heart and loyalty belonged to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family, his SEAL brothers and NSW community. He never broke a vow, he never quit, he was a quiet professional, humble beyond belief. He was a very good man. Two scriptures Bryan held dear were Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," which he had written inside his BUDS cap and Proverbs 27:17 "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another."

Master Chief Beiriger watches over his wife Donna; his sons Andrew and Steven; his father, Steve; and his sister, Melissa. He has joined his mother Sheryl Beiriger, who preceded him in death.
