CITATION:
Mention In Despatches : Throughout Friday 28 May 1982, the 2nd Battalion The Parachute Regiment were engaged in fierce fighting to take enemy positions in the area of the Goose Green Settlement on the Island of East Falkland.
During the attack, whilst moving to the relative safety of dead ground, Private STREET was wounded. Seeing his predicament, Private BROOKE returned to rescue Private STREET. Although under continuing enemy fire Private BRROKE rendered first aid and dragged his injured comrade to safety thus saving his life.
He is recommended for Mention in Despatches.
