I am trying to research my great uncle- Bernard Jones. He was in the 16th brigade, column 51/69 royal artillery. Does anyone know of anyone who served in the same regiment? I know that he was in north africa in 1942 before going to burma.Thanks.

16 Brigade Brigadier Bernard Fergusson wrote a book after the war entitled Wild Green Earth, maybe some help, lots of names and details

My Greatgrandfather was in the 2nd Leicesters and won a Distinguished Conduct Medal for recovering the bodies of 5 of his men whilst under automatic fire and grenade attack.

I have managed to find out the name of these men and have recently found several of the surviving relatives.

I am keen to find out as much as I can about the time of 2nd Leicesters and their journey through Burma in 1944. The 51/69th were part of the Brigade that made this epic journey.

I have managed to get information relating to this journey and would be happy to pass as much information on that I have with regards to this.
