Dinger Pring

A quick explanation Geronimo.

Ian Pring hasn't said anything public about B20, let alone publish a book. It has been of interest to me for a long while why he hasn't.

When you consider the total amount of Soldiers that have served in 22 SAS and the amount of those that have written books speaks volumes about both elements.

I don't know why this particular Soldier hasn't written a book. We can only speculate, he is the only one that can answer that question.

There are very good reasons why he wouldnt want to write a book. I was suprised to see pictures on here of him. Are their any considerations to his personal security when posting them. If CA is happy to make a living out of having his face plastered all over T.V then thats a matter for himself, however Ian has sought no such publicity, a degree of privacy and lack of public recognition for his service should reasonably be expected.

Hi Armor,

Dinger's photo, along with Mal MacGown, was published in the newspapers after the release of Gulf War POW's. Their names were released by the Red Cross, and their photos taken subesquently in the "parade" in front of the press of POW's (including Tornado pilot John Peters).

All power to his elbow for not cashing in.

But his photo is in the public domain. It isn't down to this site.

Regards.

Hey mate interesting comments on here; I did feel it was inappropriate to do like some others, not in my nature to profit from my so called mates and comrades unlike some. I have been living my life to the best of my ability. Blending into civi street.
Due to changes in my life and being made aware of various books etc. that I have never bothered watching or reading, as I know first-hand what went down. Now I feel the time is coming to put things right for once and for all, so it can be known on this so called anniversary year, which has nothing to do with the oppo. It’s beyond me how no-one has realised that we were all given the pseudonyms and these are the names we have become known as, our real names remain our own apart from those that never came back.
