CITATION:
Silver Star : The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918 (amended by an act of July 25, 1963), takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Major (Infantry), [then Captain] Robert C. G. Disney, United States Army, for gallantry in action while engaged in military operations in the Republic of Vietnam, on 11 May 1967. His actions, without regard for his own safety, reflect great credit on himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
Soldier's Medal : The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier's Medal to Major (Infantry) Robert C. G. Disney, United States Army, for heroism at the risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy on 9 and 10 June 1972. By his courageous action, humanitarian regard for his fellow man, and dedication of service to his country, Major Disney has reflected great credit on himself and the United States Army.
