Jack Elliott lodged with my mother in Buxton before the war. I have his military record and also some background family information, if that is of any interest to you? Also he served in Spain with the International Brigades.

Hi Ringo, I must apologise as I never received the notification that anyone had replied. Yes please that would be absolutely brilliant. Thanks, Darren.

A few pages about him in The SAS And LRDG Roll Of Honour mainly regarding Operation Loyton. Doesn't mention much about pre-operation Loyton, except he joined SAS 24 August 1943 in Algiers and after extensive training he arrived back in UK the following March.
Hi Craig, I'm so sorry, as I have mentioned in other replies I had no idea anyone had replied! I didn't get any notifications. That info is really helpful, thank you so much.
