Roy Farran was my father's commanding officer. I taught in Edmonton for nine months and missed the opportunity to visit Roy Farran, at his invitation, in 1990. My father was a member of the Italy Detachment with Jack Paley. My father was SQMS John Alcock of 2 SAS.
