From a newspaper clipping, Corporal Ronald Gallacher (note the spelling difference) died whilst undertaking a bet to climb over the roof of a moving train that he, and others from the regiment, were travelling on, after returning from an exercise. I've attached a newspaper report on the inquest, taken from the Liverpool Daily Post, Tue 24 Sep 1968, Page 3.
