Born on the Lawson homestead Oct. 31/1919. Except for one year at Brownlee and one at Faulton school he attended Gallinger school. Blank complete grade 11 in 1937. He worked as farm help in the Mawer district and when done there headed east to Manitoba for the harvest then on to work on the grain boats on the great lakes until freeze up. He return to Sask in 1941. After working on a farm in The Tugaske area he enlisted in the army. After spending sometime as corporal working in the office he asked to be put on active duty. (Dale) ​
