John Haselden is a real hero. I am astonished from his braveness, and ofcourse I thanks him and all the British, that won in the El Alamein and Tubrok battles , so we in Israel - Then Palestine - stay safe from the Nazis.
I would like to know if his mother Ester and his wife Ida , were Jewish women , because they have a Jewish names - Cazzani, Szymonski-Lubicz
Thanks

Thank you for your kind comments. Ester, who was my grandmother, was an Italian Christian. Nadia Ida, who was my mother, was Polish/Italian and a Roman Catholic. I am interested to know that both Cazzani and Szymonski-Lubicz are typically Jewish names. Perhaps their ancestors were Jewish but I have no knowledge of that.
