CITATION:

Mention In Despatches : This officer was parachuted into France in February 1944 as W/T operator to a circuit in the Normandy area. He worked ably and devotedly in this difficult region for several months, and played a large part in the establishment of a most successful circuit.

Though harassed by German D/F vans and forced to move about continually, Larcher seldom missed a schedule, and for six weeks after D-day he sent long messages almost daily giving details of enemy dispositions.

He was killed, while gallantly resisting arrest, in July 1944.

It is recommended that this officer be Mentioned in Despatches (Posthumous Award).
