leonard curtis

Hi Peter

The first thing you should do is apply for a copy of his Army Service Record. How to do so can be found here:
http://www.veterans-uk.info/service_...e_records.html

There is no official list of all who served in the Army Commandos, however I am aware there were several men with the surname Curtis in the Commandos. One was a Lance Corporal in No.3 Commando and is named on a list provided to the Commando Veterans Association (CVA) which has a nominal roll of No.3 Commando MT (motor transport) section in May 1944. Sadly his first name or initial is not shown:

You may wish to search the galleries of No.3 Commando on our website where this photo of the No.3 Commando MT section in 1945 is displayed. If he's not there we have many other photos there for you to browse :

Please contact me direct on my email address as there is another possible avenue of research that could be made dependant on what you already know about him

Regards

Pete
