I read with interest in John Hislops Book "Anything but a soldier" That Leonard Owens M.M. (joe)
lived in Newcastle -upon -Tyne. As a fellow Geordie i would like to contact any surviving
family of joe's Re-his experiences. Does anyone know of any living relatives ?

Hi, I don't know if you've had any response yet, but, amongst my late father's bits and pieces was a newspaper cutting showing 'Joe' and Arthur Leonard Edward 'Chippy' WOOD who was Mentioned in Despatches and awarded the Croix de Guerre with silver star (France 1944) - operation Houndsworth. Might be that someone can pick up on this.
