Hello everyone! I apologise in advance if my post is not relevant to your forum. I stumbled on you during my research on my husband's grandfather - Stanley Edwin Gater. He served in Corporal Frank Mayston’s Auxiliary Unit Platoon at Tottington Manor, Sussex, in September 1943 and afterwards we know he was recruited in the SAS. We don't really know anything about his time in the SAS and, although we have already requested his record from the MOD, I was trying to see if I can find any clues or hints on where he might have been with the SAS.
Any suggestions where I could look for information? Thanks in advance!
